We are right on Route10 in the Weatogue section of Simsbury, at 237 Hopmeadow Street. Please call 860-651-4400 for studio and classroom hours.
Our art classroom is my professional studio, the walls covered with classic comic and cartoon art, as well as entertainment and sports memorabilia, a gameroom with Foosball and Air Hockey as well as video games, and our cartoon Art Studios, where my staff and I create comics and commercial art everyday! You'll surely enjoy your visit there! On our website here we offer you a glimpse or two of what we offer at our Academy for Cartoonists and Artists of all ages and interests! There are even some cartooning lessons you can take ON LINE!
I've had a wonderful life and career, and been lucky and blessed to work on The Muppets, Bugs Bunny, Nancy, the Disney characters, Tom and Jerry as well as my own Fairies, Angels and Mudpie, but I think I like teaching here at this academy and camp the most of all!
We have awesome teachers here that can teach you painting, drawing, cartooning, how to write and draw Comic Strips and Graphic Novels, animate your own cartoons, as well as Photoshop and all the latest computer art techniques. My goal in creating this Academy was to create a paradise for folks who love to draw! The kind of place I always dreamt of as a child. I hope you find that we are accomplishing just that.
As you look around, you'll also find pages of my artwork, and get an idea of the work that we do around here. We take on new clients each week, creating caricatures, logos, cartoon characters, and much more for private individuals and local as well as national companies.
